The oldest Baptist Church on The Westside of Chicago.
On behalf of our church family, we welcome you to the Original Providence Baptist Church of Chicago. In 1863, Chicago witnessed the founding of Original Providence Baptist Church as an endeavor of Black people with a dream.

We have resumed in-person worship services at the Original Providence Baptist Church. We ask that unvaccinated guests wear a mask and practice social distancing during worship services, while vaccinated guests are not required to do so.
Original Providence Core Beliefs are the principles that lay the foundation of our walk with God. These are profound beliefs that are so precious to us that no external pressure will force us to compromise them. The Bible is God’s Word and is THE final authority for all life.
